Jennie is delighted to have returned home and still works very closely with the team in Ariel House.

Generous servings of hospitality and service are two key ingredients of the Ariel House recipe. From the welcome at check in, through to the goodbyes when leaving, we strive to make our guests feel comfortable and well looked after throughout their stay at our Dublin 4 guesthouse.

And as the saying goes, the proof is in the pudding. In 2014, McKenna’s Guides recommended our guesthouse in Dublin as one of the top 100 places to stay in Ireland and Expedia customers, rated Ariel House as one of the top 500 hotels in the world for customer service.

“We initially stayed for the breakfast (award-winning, had to check it out) but I will be returning for the warm and friendly people working at Ariel House.”
“I am saving the best for last though...the staff were AMAZING, really really amazing! Everyone was cheerful and helpful at all times. Any need was addressed immediately and fully.”
“But without question the best thing about Ariel House is their wonderful staff. All of them were so friendly & went out of their way to ensure we had the best stay possible.”

If you look closely, you’ll realise that Ariel House is not in fact just one building, but is made up of three splendid Victorian townhouses, seamlessly joined and charmingly laid out. Our role is to keep them alive, vibrant, cared for and open for all to enjoy.

The main house was built back in 1850, during the reign of Queen Victoria, and was originally owned by a wealthy shipping merchant and his family. To this day, you can still see many Victorian features on display throughout our Dublin guesthouse, such as the beautiful bay windows, Flemish brick work, ornate stained glass and sash windows.

Nowadays Ariel House has been sympathetically restored, offering modern amenities, but keeping the style and elegance of a time gone by.

"Over the past decade, we have carefully sourced antique period furniture for many rooms, renovated original cornices, fireplaces and windows, and carefully selected fabrics, wallpapers and furniture that respects and enhances the original architecture."

This beautiful house is a labyrinth of awesome rooms, each one a little different from the others. You cannot go wrong with this as your base of operations! We absolutely loved it!”

“The room was amazing, we had been upgraded to the junior suite. Complete with four poster bed, beautiful views of Dublin and extremely large bathroom. Possibly the nicest room I've ever stayed in.”

“My wife and I and friends, stayed at Ariel House on our last night in Dublin before flying back to the U.S. It was a wonderful experience. The hotel has charm, an outgoing and phenomenal staff and the downstairs main area as well as the rooms, are beautifully done, clean and very well kept.”
